Web Design Terms
Design and develop a responsive website by an agreed date.
For a total price of [ to be agreed ] with hosting package, or a [ to be agreed ] one off fee without hosting. In all cases a deposit of £75 will required to start the work and no work will begin until this is paid.
Design
Studio V Ink will create a design that adapts to the capabilities of various devices and screen sizes. We may use visuals to indicate a creative direction (colour, texture and typography).
You will have plenty of opportunities to review work and provide feedback. We will share a demo site with you and we’ll have regular contact by either phone, email or in person.
If at any stage you change your mind about what you want delivered or aren’t happy with the direction the work is taking, you may terminate the project. The deposit is non-refundable and will cover the work done up until that point.
Text content
Studio V Ink will create the initial website based on the outline you requested, using text supplied by you. Unless agreed separately, we are not responsible for inputting additional text, images or pages on your website beyond the initial design. If, in the future, you would like us to create new content for you, we can provide a separate estimate.
Graphics and photographs
Studio V Ink has access to royalty free photographs which we will use to create your visuals and are available for your final use. If you don’t want to use these, you should supply photographs in a high resolution digital format. If you choose to buy stock photographs, we can suggest stock libraries. If you’d like us to search for/purchase stock photographs for you, we can provide a separate estimate. You should supply graphic files (logos etc.) in an editable, vector format.
Technical support
Studio V Ink can host your website if required. We can set up your site on a server, plus – depending on your hosting package – any statistics software such as Google Analytics and give you basic training on how to make updates to your site. After that, the level of technical support will depend on the hosting package.
Search engine optimisation (SEO)
For basic level hosting, Studio V Ink doesn’t guarantee improvements to your website’s search engine ranking, but the pages we develop are accessible to search engines and SEO friendly.
Changes and revisions
The fixed price is based on the number of hours Studio V Ink estimates we will need to accomplish everything you’ve told us you want to achieve and includes three design iterations. If you change your mind after that or want to add anything new, we can provide a separate estimate for additional time.
